Cleansing Pesto

I love pesto, actually I’m a bit obsessed. I eat it on lots of food items like chicken, scrambled eggs, corn pasta, grilled vegetables and fish. Oh and baked potatoes!

This version is a bit different then what I ate a lifetime ago. It is dairy-free. There is no Parmesan cheese. I like to use arugula because it contains a host of nutritional benefits including is Chlorophyll and is full of fiber to help cleanse out the colon.

 

Cleansing Pesto Ingredients

I cup Arugula

Β½ cup of Olive Oil

1/3 cup of Sunflower Seeds

1 teaspoon Water

1 teaspoon Lime juice (optional)

A pinch of Atlantic Grey Sea Salt

 

 

Directions

Blend all ingredients together in a blender and serve.
